Community Service
Suzie currently serves on the Northwest Missouri State University Alumni Association Board of Directors. She is an active volunteer with the Lee’s Summit Educational Foundation Scholarship Committee. She is a member of the Lee’s Summit Rotary Club and the Lee’s Summit Chamber of Commerce. Suzie also serves as a member of the Board of Trustees for Jackson County, Missouri as a member of the Community Mental Health Fund on their grant compliance committee.
Suzie is serving the Lee’s Summit Chamber of Commerce on their Women In Business conference committee, which aims to empower women throughout the Kansas City region.
Leadership Expereince
Suzie most recently served as the Director of Partnerships & Fund Development at Sherwood Autism Center. She has nearly two decades of experience as a fundraising professional. She is currently earning the distinction of CFRE through her work with the Association of Fundraising Professionals. In addition to leading teams to earn millions of dollars, she has held multiple leadership positions.
Suzie is the immediate past-chair for Womxn’s March Denver, a local 501(c)3, volunteer-led nonprofit advancing intersectional feminism in the Rocky Mountain Region. She is a LEAD Colorado graduate. Past Co-Chair of the Nonprofit Roundtable for the Colorado Women’s Chamber of Commerce. Past Committee Chair for Young Professionals of the Colorado Women’s Chamber of Commerce. Founding member of the IDEA (Inclusion, diversity, equity, and access) Task Force for Jefferson County, Colorado. Suzie served as President of the Northwest Missouri State University Alumni & Friends Chapter-Colorado from 2016-2022. Suzie served as the President of the American Society for Public Administration-Kansas City Chapter. She was a founding member of The Modernists, in support of The National World War I Museum & Memorial. Suzie has served as an Advisory Board Member for STEM Generation, a nonprofit focused on the advancement of STEM learning in under-resourced schools.
